Biography

Growning up in Fargo, North Dakota, Pam Froemke started her art career early with her first solo show of equine pencil drawings in the fifth grade - in the school’s cafeteria.

Since then she has won numerous awards for her art and horses remain her favorite subject. She has done pet portraits, murals, logo design, sign painting, greeting cards, and Christmas tree ornaments.

After moving to Fort Collins, Colorado in 1994, she discovered and fell in love with plein-air painting. She has transitioned to a much looser, impressionistic style to quickly capture the landscape en plein air.

Pam divides her time between painting, working as a biological information specialist for the US Forest Service, sailing in local regattas, and just relaxing (and painting!) aboard her sailboat.
