Regardless of whether it is deep in the wilderness or on the back porch, spending time in nature is beneficial for us on many levels. Immersion in a natural setting can affect our physical, mental, and emotional states. My draw towards the outdoors includes the physical and the metaphysical. I seek a potential experience of the Divine. I bring along my camera in an effort to share the essence of my experiences. A tall order since my photographs are a pale approximation of the world. Light, color, and form will combine in extraordinary ways, and every so often I am fortunate enough to have a chance at capturing it.
