Introduction to Figure Drawing, Class #5, Head, Hands, and Feet
Tuesday, October 7 from 5:30-8pm
Introduction to Figure Drawing is a six-week intensive course designed to empower artists with the essential skills to capture the human form through observation and drawing. This class simplifies the complexities of the figure, starting with dynamic gesture drawing and volumetric bubbling to capture motion and life, then progressing through proportions, simplified anatomy, and detailed studies of the head, hands, and feet. Students will learn to deconstruct the figure into manageable elements—skeletal landmarks, major muscle groups, and expressive contours with cross-hatching—enhancing accuracy, depth, and expressiveness. Through hands-on practice with photographic and anatomical references, culminating in a long-pose, this course builds a robust foundation for Life Drawing.
