In Southwest Watercolors, we explore into the captivating allure of the American Southwest, harnessing the expressive medium of watercolors to encapsulate its rugged beauty and timeless charm. In this immersive course we will reference 3-4 unique images from the southwest creating small 4”x6” paintings as we explore the distinctive color palette and iconic landscapes of this enchanting region.
Discover the artistry of watercolor painting as we practice the intricacies of brush control, color mixing, and compositional drawing tailored to capture the essence of the Southwest. From the majestic grandeur of desert to the tranquil flow of winding canyons, each lesson will transport you to the heart of this breathtaking landscape, guiding you in translating its unique features onto your canvas.
Through this class you'll practice the interplay of light and shadow, infusing your artwork with depth and dimension while completing to introductory exercises to familiarize yourself with the watercolor medium.
